The Skate Park is approximately 12,000-square-feet and is located in the center of Salt Lake Park

City Ordinance

Ordinance 663-NS: The use of the public skate park facility shall be deemed a hazardous recreational facility within the meaning of Section 831.7 of the Government Code. The City of Huntington Park may not be held liable for the injuries incurred by persons who participate in any such hazardous recreational activity.

 

Rules and Regulations

  • No Food or Beverages allowed in the Skate Park
  • All Participants using the Skate Park shall:
    • Use only skateboards & inline skates
    • Wear safety helmets, elbow pads and knee pads at all times
    • Adhere to all Parks & Recreation Rules and Regulations

 

With respect to the City's skate park facility, it shall be unlawful for any person to do any of the acts hereinafter specified:

  1. To place or utilize obstacles or other materials within the skate park that are not affixed to the skate park by the City for recreational purposes.
  2. To enter the skate park for purposes other than skateboarding, in-line skating, or assisting a skateboarder or in-line skater.
  3. To use the skate park while under the influence of alcohol or drugs that would impair the person's judgment or motor skills. To possess any can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverage ( as the term "alcoholic beverage" is defined by the Alcoholic Beverage Control act in the Statues of 1935, Chapter 330, of the State, or any act amendatory thereof ) which has been opened, has a seal broken, or the contents of which have been partially removed.
  4. To ride or use any in-line skates or skateboards at the public skate park facility in a reckless manner or with willful disregard for the safety of persons or property, or to cause such items to be ridden or used in such manner. Engage in reckless or boisterous behavior or any other activity that could endanger the safety of other persons using the skate park. Stunts, tricks and huge skateboarding by person under 14 years of age shall be deemed to be reckless operation.

 

Violators Are Subject To Immediate Removal And Citation As Per H. P. Ordinance # 663-NS.
