Contacting the Police Department
The Huntington Park Police Department provides quality customer service to the general public and other law enforcement agencies. When calling the police department to report an incident, please be prepared to provide the complete address where assistance is needed, be able to tell the dispatcher why you need help, remain calm and speak clearly. It is helpful if the caller is able to provide as much information as possible. We do take information from anonymous reporting parties.
Staff
The Communications Division at the Huntington Park Police Department is staffed by highly trained Communications Operators and a Communications Supervisor. Staffing is supplemented with three (3) part-time cadet positions and two (2) part time on call dispatchers; normally working 20 hours per week. Full-time Communications Division personnel work a 4/10 schedule and rotate shifts every six months.
Additionally, dispatchers handle all radio traffic on two frequencies and in the absence of Records Division personnel, are responsible for all California Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (CLETS) computer entries.
