Following is the Winter 2009 parks and recreation class and activity schedule. To register for a class, you must complete an Activity Registration Form and submit it in person, along with payment, to the Department of Parks & Recreation, located at 3401 E. Florence Ave., during normal office hours. Class fees may be paid by check, credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or money order only (no cash).
Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 3 p.m.
Please note that all classes meet in the Salt Lake Park recreation center located at 3401 E. Florence Ave., unless otherwise specified.
Arts & Crafts
Art of Cake Decorating
Tired of paying for your birthday cakes? Learn how to decorate a cake all by yourself. Learn how to
make cake transfers, clowns and roses. You also will learn how to make royal icing for long lasting
flowers as well as learn to work with rolled fondants. Upon completion of the course, you will receive
a "Wilton Method" certificate, with a chance to become a Wilton instructor yourself.
