News and Notes Tennis   

  • The City of Huntington Park cordially invites you to Dino’s Chicken and Burgers (6135 Pacific Blvd., Huntington Park, CA 90255) on Thursday, June 26, 2014 as we unveil our newest Parklet.   FIFA World Cup games will be televised for live viewing beginning at 9 a.m. (USA vs. Germany and Portugal vs. Ghana at 9 a.m., Algeria vs. Russia and Korea Republic vs. Belgium at 1 p.m.)  A ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. to commemorate this great new feature to the downtown district.  There will also be raffles and give-a-ways throughout the day, compliments of La Curacao, Jarritos and other local businesses. 

  • The annual Summer Day Camp provides children ages 6-12 years-old a wide range of fun and exciting activities and events. From arts & crafts to water games, field trips to barbecues, Summer Day Camp is a great way for children to stay active and healthy this summer.  Click here for more information.    

  • The City of Huntington Park invites you, family and friends to the 2nd Annual Huntington Park Dodger Night as the Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 6:10 p.m.  Click here for more information.   
  • The City of Huntington Park will celebrate 4th of July with a 3-day carnival on Friday, July 4th, Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th at Salt Lake Park.  The celebration will feature a fireworks show on July 4th at 9 p.m. Entertainment, food vendors and a beer garden will be scheduled all weekend long.  Bring your family and friends to celebrate a great American tradition.
  • The City of Huntington Park invites you, your family and friends to the 2nd Annual Huntington Park Dodger Night as the Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamond Backs on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 6:10 p.m.  Tickets are $33 per person and are located in the All-You-Can-Eat-Pavilion (unlimited Dodger Dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn and soft drinks).  Transportation services to the game will be available for an additional $5 per person.   • Summer Tee Ball registrations will begin April 30, 2014.  This program is designed for boys and girls ages 4-5.  This program gives children the opportunity to compete in a healthy environment promoted by positive sportsmanship.  Participants will learn fundamental skills such as hitting, running bases, catching, and fielding.  Click here for all of the details.
