Memorial Day
The special Memorial Day event will honor the memory of those who have given their lives in military service. The event will take place at the City of Huntington Park Veterans Memorial located at Freedom Park. The event will feature a Memorial Day address by a local war veteran as well as the reading of the names listed on the city’s Veterans Memorial. The names include those of 53 city residents who have given their lives in active duty with the military, as well as the names of two city police officers and firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty.
